“Gary Paul Bryant has developed a reputation as a top new age/jazz pianist. His music blushes with the grandeur of classical composition and rushes with the life-blood of jazz and New Orleans style blues. On WildLife, Bryant's 10th album, we are treated to thirteen tunes that would make the likes of Grusin, Isham and Lanz stand up and salute with respect.” Wildy’s World
That was a blast! I love the complexity.. It has my head bopping up and down, but at the same time going side to side..
Really cool horns.. I mean the lead and the subtle backing.. Awesome!
Piano was outstanding..
Drums drove the entire thing.. Would have been impossible to pull this off without them.. - Slodad
Good piano and sax combination! The sound is a good combination of the sax and the piano. The saxophone is dynamic and the piano is just great. - zizio, Quebec, Canada
Great production well worth the listen. - Promoter3, Scotland, United Kingdom
The sax is off the chain... gotta say also, that the piano was beautiful. i like how the sax was the crazy one and the piano was the cool one... almost like a "good cop, bad cop" kinda thing... sound like you won the lotto. i could feel the positive emotions oozing out the song.. very well done.

Compelling right off the top, drives all the way through- reminds me in some ways of John Lurie's stuff for the "Get Shorty" movie. The end reminded me of Gil Evans and Miles Davis in the Porgy and Bess recordings. Highest compliments. - charliecheney, Fremont, Michigan
This sounds really fat, Mostly because of the snare drum. Nice complimenting. - freshheir_stl,Webster Groves, Missouri

“New age jazzbo Bryant knows how to tackle the form and not add cliches when it would be so easy to do so. A tasty work that incorporates his varied piano interests, this sixth album of his has plenty on the ball... this is one of the leading lights for the form and the area.” - Chris Spector, Midwest Record Recap
“This high-energy collection is jazz influenced with a hint of classical elegance and a touch of New Age. Bryant fuses jazz, New Orleans boogie woogie and romantic classical ballads into a new sound that is unique.” - Accent
“Gary Paul Bryant is one helluva pianist. Seriously. He has jazz chops up one side and down the other.” -Brett McCallon, Splendid
“As exuberant his attack on the opening piece, that's how delicate becomes his lyricism in subsequent pieces. And thus he blends a certain delicacy with exuberance and calls on jazz, blues, classical, carnival, and God-knows-what else to form a sound that is distinctly his own, though I do detect a little Count Basie in it. And he does it all in his head.” - Nightflying: the Entertainment Guide
